A new road of European standards will connect the three northern municipalities of Fushë-Arrëz, Puka and Mirdita within this year. The 37-kilometre Fushë Arrëz – Rreps road was totally ruined, and because of the dust and potholes the movement on this road had turned into an ordeal for the 50.000 inhabitants of this area. Its reconstruction amounts to 924 million ALL.

The Mayor explained that this road is being built according to high standards in order to ensure its longevity. “The road will connect the three municipalities of Fushe-Arrez, Puke and Mirdite. 50 thousand people inhabit these three municipalities. You’ve done what you have promised. The longevity of this road is expected to be at least 30 years.”

The works manager said that the road up to Rreps will be completed within this year.
