Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Hani Perparim Laçit, a traditional Albanian guesthouse located in Puka, north of Albania, is yet another excellent example of how a tourist attraction can be built through hard work and commitment in an area blessed with natural beauty. Set against the backdrop of the mountains, Perparim, the guesthouse owner, says Puka looks like Switzerland and is increasingly becoming a highly sought tourist destination is perfect for mountain hikers, skiers as well, nature lovers and all others looking to spend some quiet time in unspoiled nature.

Visiting this popular guesthouse, Prime Minister Rama was briefed on this serious and ambitious agritourism project. “As many as 12 members of my family are all working together in this business. We run this guesthouse and restaurant, a farm of Danish cattle and a heard of goats. Sadly, we are facing difficulties in hiring workers,” said Perparim Laçi, who welcomes local and foreign visitors. His goal is to build a winter ski resort.

With 21 rooms, ski slopes, delicious traditional Puka food and delicacies and fantastic climate, this agritourism centre is another model of development not only for the household economy, but the whole area as well.
