Albanian Government Council of Ministers

The use of the natural resources and the cultural heritage was the main drive encouraging Naum Bici in the village of Lin, south-eastern Albania –  through the assistance of the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) – to start out a household agritourism enterprise by rebuilding his private family home by preserving same elements to attract an ever growing number of visitors, nature and cultural heritage enthusiasts.

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the newly-built guesthouse, currently accommodating a number of foreign tourists, and a new agritourism business that ranks high on booking.com.

“This house was originally built in 1911. When I left in 1999, the house started to fall apart. I had to restore it. Seeing a growing number of visitors, I decided to turn the family home into a guesthouse,” Naum says.

Although a fledgling enterprise about a year in the business, he says that number of visitors – mainly Germans, Norwegians, Swedes, and Danish – booking for an accommodation in this guesthouse is steadily growing.
