Prime Minister Edi Rama’s remarks at official opening of Vinea Resort & Spa in Arapaj, Durrës:
Good evening everyone!
It is really a pleasure as pleasure is usually the highlight of events of this kind, but it is really a special pleasure another gem adds to a still emerging and nascent crown, but gemstone of a particular brilliance in the newly launched crown of the Albanian agritourism industry becomes now tangible for the public and accessible to anyone wishing to visit and experience the newly-built resort’s first-hand.
I am very pleased that today we establish another really fantastic evidence of a previously unknown power of the rural economy, but also the economy as a whole, an extremely worthy component of tourism, that is the agritourism, which in my view is truly the long missing component in Albania for many years and the component that in the coming years will undoubtedly grow and become more and more present in our tourism industry.
On the other hand, I am also pleased that we have today not simply another agritourism facility available to the public and everyone who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the urban areas, but no we have also a model that can inspire many others who can draw lessons to further develop and add more gems in this crown.
However, I believe expressing also the opinion of the genius and the inventor of this fantastic undertaking, my friend Lefter, what makes this inauguration ceremony a super event is the presence of a prominent Italian chef who, if we were to draw comparisons with politics or sports, he can be well likened either with Giulio Andreotti, or Enzo Bearzot, a true star who has added special brilliance to the Italian cuisine, the master chef Gianfranco Vissani, who generously accepted my invitation to attend and become an added value to this evening event, as well as to convey a significant message to every one of those who really want but still hesitate to invest in agritotourism, taking also this project further forward, turning this agritourism facility into a main destination not only for the local and foreign tourists, but also for events that go beyond borders and Adriatic.
