The school in the village of Shtodher is one of the 12 new educational facilities being rebuilt in the municipality of Kavaje according to highest EU standards. Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by the Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj, inspected the works to construct the new school with a total of 319 children in primary and pre-school education system.
The new school, now a lot much bigger than it used to be, will not differ from the educational facilities in every commune around Europe in terms of quality and standards. “None of the schools will have the same size they used to have. They will feature space and standards of the European Union. So, we build better and with high quality all over the territory, not only when it comes to schools, but also every other building,” Reconstruction Minister Ahmetaj said.
The new school is designed to house 11 classrooms, four labs, as well as green spaces that were missing around the old school building. “In every aspect, these schools do not differ from the schools in every EU member state. This is a school featuring same quality as every educational facility in communes all over Europe,” PM Rama said.
The new school will be much bigger, not only in terms of its size and capacity, but also space. The school will feature standard 24-student classrooms to eliminate learning in shifts and provide abundant educational space and premises both for pupils and teachers.
The new educational facility, much bigger than the previous building, will be an added value for the area, whereas schoolchildren who will attend classes there will notice no differences in terms of quality and standards if compared to schools in rural areas of every EU member state.
