The mass vaccination campaign against COVID-19 disease entered seventh day. The inoculation drive is well underway also in the municipality of Roskovec, where the process is being carried out in line with a strict guideline.
“We have set up a concentration vaccination site in Roskovec so that delivering care at health centres is not interrupted,” the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu said while accompanying Prime Minister Edi Rama during a visit to this centre. Health Minister provided updated information on the number of vaccinated people in the southern region of Fier, saying more than 22,000 vaccine doses have been administered, whereas the total number of vaccinated people countrywide has jumped to over 180,000, with 120,000 of them being older adults.
Prime Minister Rama commented a recent article on effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccines published on New York Times. “A day ago, the New York Times published an article on global data about the vaccines’ effectiveness and Chinese vaccine Sinovac proved to be the most effective one,” the Premier said. On her part, Health Minister Manastirliu noted that its effectiveness is higher as it causes fewer side effects.
