The population’s mass vaccination continues apace throughout territory of Albania, with more than a total of 250,000 citizens having already received the shot against the COVID-19 virus countrywide.
Prime Minister Edi Rama Rama, accompanied by the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu, closely watched progress of the process at the vaccination site set up Vlora. As many as 26,000 people have received the vaccine in whole district, with 21,000 of them in the municipality of Vlora alone.
Health Minister said that inoculation drive is moving full steam ahead and the coronavirus vaccine eligibility will further expand to include younger people aged 60 years and older starting on Monday, as another shipment of 7020 more Pfizer vaccine doses and 100,000 Sinovac vaccine doses are set to arrive in the country.
