Prime Minister Edi Rama today travelled to the city of Berat, where he started his visit by touring the newly-built office facility of the Road Transport Service Directorate in the south-western municipality that will help deliver quality services to more than 55,000 local drivers.
Praising the builder for the great work, Prime Minister Rama said that facts and the radical transformation of the office facility of the regional Road Transport Service Directorate speak for themselves.
“New vehicles that meet better performance standards, banning a number of old cars and the two-fold increase in the number of vehicles on use today clearly show what we are reiterating and what has to do with growth of economy. These are facts indicating the health of economy,” PM Rama said.
The new office facility has a floor area of 1150 square meters and features two buildings, with the first one housing the waiting rooms and service terminals, the archives for vehicles and drivers registration, whereas the second facility houses the area for the physical and technical inspection of cars and vehicles.
The regional the Road Transport Service Directorates across the country are being totally transformed and Berat is the city where construction of the office building completed recently to deliver quality services to more than 55,000 drivers in five municipalities of this south-western Albania district. The staff of employees now offers quality services amid optimum working conditions.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku explained that the regional Road Directorate in Berat now delivers 120,000 various services.
The General Director of Road Transport Service, Bledi Gonxhe said that over 70,000 services are delivered online, whereas 120,000 services are physical ones.
