On the 2023 New Year’s Eve, the Council of Ministers approved the latest assistance package for over one million individuals across the country according to the following categories: retired people, female family heads, policemen, servicemen, health professionals and public administration employees etc.
Considering it as a “Big Package” on the New Year’s Eve, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the new anti-crisis and anti-inflation package will significantly help Albanian households to successfully cope with this tough winter, practically reducing the impact of war-driven inflation for basic consumption to almost zero.
The Big Package totals 8 billion lek and it will support more than one million people starting in the first days of January.
8,000 Lek – 695,000 retirees
8,000 Lek – 57,300 individuals participating in economic assistance scheme.
20,000 Lek – 6,700 female family heads benefiting economic assistance
8000 Lek – 71,000 individuals with disabilities
20,000 Lek – 30,289 public administration employees with gross monthly wage less than 60,000 lek
10,000 Lek – Public administration employees with gross monthly wage over 60,000 lek.
10,000 Lek – 9,604 State Police workers
20,000 Leke – Members of Rapid Intervention Force, Renea special unit forces, Delta forces,Operational Unit.
10,000 Lek – 11,000 nurses
20,000 Lek – 3,200 nurses
10,000 Lek – 4,331 servicemen with gross monthly wage up to 60,000 lek
20,000 Lek – 1,200 infantry troops
20,000 Lek – 1181 fire fighters
