Statement by State Minister for Innovation and Public Administration, Milena Harito:
The more Lulzim Basha talks, the greater the commiseration for the Democratic Party which has turned into a puppet theater where the old refrain of a power that left ashamed is recited mechanically.
The presumption that data of citizens are being controlled by means of mobile phones is part of the old propaganda which is used to accuse its opponents only to sully them or, even worse; it is a consequence of the stupidity that characterizes the incompetents when they also want to have their say.
The government has nothing to do with personal data of citizens, but it is the government’s job to fight against the smuggling of mobile phones and it is also the government’s job to make sure that for every mobile phone that enters Albania, the respective duty fee is paid.
The IMEI code, the famous IMEI code has nothing to do with the content of communication. It is only a machinery code, like let’s say the chassis of a car or the serial number of a computer. It is as if through the chassis of the car, the government checks who the driver is.
Which Albanian believes this!
This is the simple truth. Also, this measure of the government goes in the direction established by Albanian themselves on June 23rd: Renaissance and not destruction; equality before the law and not a different law for the strong and another one for the weak; a strong state and not a homeland without state.
The rest are is empty talking and Lulzim Basha is really good at empty talking. Just ask those who voted him as mayor, and you will be told that, besides talking, they have received nothing from him in these three years.
