Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Work is progressing on the Lungomare 3 project, which involves the redevelopment of the coastal line from Vlorë to Radhimë and Orikum. Lungomare 3 will benefit not only local residents but also domestic and international tourists visiting the Albanian Riviera.

Prime Minister Rama closely monitored the progress of the works, accompanied by the Mayor of Vlorë, Ermal Dredha, and the Director of the Albanian Development Fund, Dritan Agolli.

“Essentially, where we are now, everything has been reinforced and extended. As planned, a bicycle lane is being added while maintaining the width of the road. Here, you can see the design concept of Lungomare, which includes the bike lane running along the road, extending from the tunnel all the way to Orikum. It also features a seaside promenade, with beaches in between. This promenade will have lighting, the bike lane, and barriers to prevent parking. Moreover, the Giro d’Italia will pass through this area,” said the Director of the Albanian Development Fund.

This strategic investment expands Vlorë’s high-quality tourism infrastructure and sets the stage for the continuation of Lungomare 4 in the Orikum area, making Vlorë the coastal city with the longest seaside promenade in the Mediterranean.
