Albana Koçiu

From September 2023, Albana Koçiu holds the post of Minister of Health and Social Protection. Prior to this role, Mrs. Albana Koçiu was Directing the Department of Public Administration since 2013.

Ms. Koçiu graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tirana and has more than 20 years of experience in management, in leading positions in central and local administration, with a special focus on human resources management and social services, where she has a rich portfolio and outstanding contributions.

At the same time, Mrs. Koçiu has received a series of professional qualifications in public administration leadership, good governance, human resources management policies, and social policies.

During her role as Director of the Department of Public Administration, Ms. Koçiu led the process of public administration reform at the technical level, as one of the country’s priorities for the integration of Albania into the European Union.
