The Shijak-based company INSIFA, a renowned family business involved in confectionery production, has been founded by six Osmani brothers. Despite the pandemic, this enterprise, through the government support, has expanded its production line with construction of a new factory covering around 6000 square meters.
Prime Minister Edi Rama today visited the new and contemporary premises of the factory, whose confectionary products have successfully entered international markets.
“The company has employed 100 skilled workers and it has expanded its activity despite the pandemic with construction of a new factory covering 6000 square meters. Local and central government have supported the company and its production today has quadrupled,” Shijak Mayor Elton Arbana said.
The factory currently produces a variety of 176 products mainly bound for export to many countries. The company exports a large variety of its products to whole region and 14 countries across the world. The entrepreneurs’ ambition is to further expand their activity and create more jobs. The government head encouraged them to match their business growth needs with the government’s support programmes through the financing schemes.
“You should explore whether any elements of your business plan and company expansion projects comply with the measures included in the support programmes funded by the European Commission through the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) or with the measures included in ARDA’s support schemes, because the two are independent programmes and we would certainly be proud to support you. After all, this is the goal of these programmes,” PM Rama said.
