Mass vaccination is in full steam ahead across the country in vaccination sites and health care centres. Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the vaccination site in Elbasan, where hundreds of elderly were receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“The inoculation drive is progressing very well in Elbasan. More than 22,000 vaccine doses have been administered to date in Elbasan,” the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu said, adding that “a total of 260,000 vaccine doses have been injected countrywide until early hours of this morning. As many as 185,000 older adults have received the first dose of the vaccine.”

The Premier asked the newly-vaccinated people about their health condition and wished them good health and successful ongoing vaccination process.
