Albanian Government Council of Ministers

As part of the transformation of Berat, spaces for children and the community have been created, and one such space is the recreational park “Dua të Luaj.” During his visit to Berat, the Prime Minister, accompanied by Mayor Ervin Demo, toured this new space, which features 300 trees, a playground, a running track, outdoor gyms, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, green spaces, and benches for resting.

“This is the newest park, an extraordinary gift for the children of Berat, offering a wide range of activities. Here, we have the padel courts—Berat is the second city in Albania to have two padel courts. Padel is currently the fastest-growing sport in Europe. We also have tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, a small football field, and a children’s playground with sand and carpet. Located in the heart of the city, it has created an extraordinary atmosphere, and every day, you can hear the joyful sound of children playing. The atmosphere is incredible, and we’ve established a dedicated team for the park, which is open 24 hours,” said Mayor Ervin Demo.

With a direct impact on the daily lives of residents of all ages, the “Dua të Luaj” park is a beautiful gift not only for the citizens but also for the tourists who visit the city.
