Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited today at the Hospital of Trauma in Tirana the two State Police forces wounded in the line of duty. After being informed by the medical staff that their lives are not in danger, the Prime Minister asked the doctors to look after them very carefully until full recovery.

The Prime Minister spent a few words on the event, which he defined a criminal act against the State Police:

“This is a day of mourning for the State Police, its dependents, the whole family of the State Police, and I believe also for every Albanian, every Albanian family appreciating honesty, courage and the service provided by the State Police and by these guys.

Expressing my brotherly condolences to the family of the officer who could not survive this barbarism, and conveying at the same time the doctors’ words that the lives of the other two are completely out of danger, I want to emphasize that those who speak ambiguously even at this moment when the police forces are on the battlefield against a group of killers, holding the police forces accountable for what happened, must feel really bad. Shame on them!”
