Prime Minister Edi Rama address at the Parliament:

You required a debate on Jerusalem today. Tomorrow you could require debate on the Panama Canal. After tomorrow you could ask a debate on North Pole’s temperature increase. It is because you are found in an inconsolable discomfort and would be ready to break out a nuclear war, if anything was up to you.

You seek salvation in the Middle East today, while tomorrow you might seek it somewhere else in the world far away from this country, where the vortex increases your discomfort anxiety burden each day and especially at night. You lost power, have lost reason and now even the sleep.

Your politics is raving, mud-slinging. Because that “poor” and “doomed” Justice Reform you voted here two-handedly, that vetting process you could not stop, this political party you could not beat, have placed you in a great discomfort because you know perfectly well that as long as this party is in power, you stand no chance see this country fail justice, as it happened while you were in power by turning Albania into a worthless rag.

You are afraid of what is to come and not to blame. Someone who does not know you and does not know what you have done to this country may blame you. It is not a coincidence, Sali, that you stood up here and the first thing you say is 21 January while you meant to say 21 December. The tongue always returns to the sore tooth… the proverb says, but to you it hurts somewhere else while the tongue rolls there, but still cannot clean that place.

Along with the artist, my friend Lulzim, you encased the sea in a water tank. The tank of your bottom rocked power and signed an anti-constitutional agreement which if translated in common day speech is called “treason to the fatherland” on territorial infringement. You are ready even now to emerge the sea on the streets and let it be hell on earth only to push you through the day-to-day enlarging hollow which to you more than other is the punitive hole of justice you stand no chance to forestall.

There are, by all means, people among you having no reason to be afraid but fear is dragging them to a dead-end road. You set off today to see what happens tomorrow. “Getting together to the square, to the square” and after we will see, if a mish mash will take place or not.

Fear is causing you hallucinations. You shout about America like those children at “Mëngjeze lufte” (a 1971 Albanian film) who said “Guri, come on we are being beaten”. You think that Guri is listening from over there and will come to protect you, but not from us, from what Guri is setting up here alongside his European partners, and us, the heavy drubbing of law will fall to anyone who owes this people back.

You continue to yell, but not to us and it is not us to blame for, if your time is coming. The process has kicked off and first verifications are underway. “The nuts you thought would always remain in your sack and be untouchable.”

You cannot find salvation in Jerusalem. You cannot find your crumbling sanctuary in Jerusalem and it is not us running it down, but because in this fight – I have told you since day one – we are not alone and it would be good to be all together, we are along with United States and in tandem the European Union. Jerusalem does not unite you with the USA as the Justice Reform divides you and all the means you have undertaken to undermine the reform. That Vetting broomstick you lingered to lock away in the tent disassociates you. A future of justice to all of us alike, to me, to you Sali, as well to entire Albania, divides you apart.

You refer to Jerusalem here, to this day. However, it is voted to set up the High Council of Prosecution (HCP) and the High Judiciary Council (HJC) today. Could you tell why not casting your vote? Could you tell why it is the third consecutive time you behave, like the expression goes, home sick but proud at the Legal Issues Committee.

Why do you not vote the establishment of new judicial system bodies?

You cannot, because you cannot vote the progress of a process that could ultimately put you ultimately behind bars. You have done ample, hidden plenty, covered much and you are not to blame, how can you do it by your own hand?

HJC and HCP will be established today and the show ends today. We will vote, you won’t, and the ones emerging will be the new High Council of Prosecution (HCP) and the High Judiciary Council (HJC) bodies. This endless effort you tried to stall end here. Vetting process is launched Sali and soon enough some of your beloved ones within the supreme courts in Albania will be thrown out of the palace of justice, in spite of your wailings, togetherness or shoe-throwing in the air, perceiving them as missiles to strike North Korea.

“Poplar’s Justice” will collapse, as you planted the path of justice with rotten poplars in Albania. That seedling planted two years before, by your vote as well, – the first in the history of this Assembly (by waving the green card with your heads almost down the floor), – will bring forth a new era of the judicial system which is irreversible.

Even the new maritime agreement, Sali knows better what it is about. When the new map emerges where will he go? He will be there again as Sali divorced shame the day when he abandoned his true party and kidnapped the Democratic Party.

There is one thing you should all be aware, the UN vote does not separate Albania from USA as such votes have been common to the UN and nothing has occurred. Albania and America cannot be the apple of discord here. The division is crystal clear; how do we align with, justice or impunity? Or either investigations to all or inquiries for those not part of the household and not part of political party? Who do we stand with, past pictures or the fair Albania of the future?

The division is such and in this direction you are alone, utterly alone.
