The new Meliá Durres, Albania’s newest and largest hotel from the prestigious international hotel chain Meliá, opened its doors today on the coast of Adriatic as an epitome of the tourist Albania that is steadily progressing.

Prime Minister attended and addressed the opening ceremony of Meliá Durres hotel:

“Listening to Artan as he spoke at length, he reminded me myself when talking on and on about work others actually do, because the truth is that this hotel complex is now here a reality thanks to the extraordinary work done by another Dulak family member, not the one who delivered the speech, but his father. 

Meanwhile, I felt sorry about all these international friends for having to listen to all these long speeches in Albanian and when I asked why no interpretation service was made available, I was told that Artan wanted the government to pay for that.

So, I am very sorry, Gabriel. Welcome. No interpretation service is provided since the government failed to pay for it.

I am absolutely proud that joining us today is someone, who will definitely be an added value thanks to his experience and art in his profession, professor Galiberdi who has imported his amazing experience from Italy to make people feel at  best home through things he does.

I will go on in Albanian that you don’t understand, but I swear it is about good things only.

I would like to go on by praising the group of people, whose names are not revealed, because the main protagonist to bring Meliá hotel group to Albania was probably Blendi Klosi, who has been invited as a fellow collaborator in this project after having worked side by side with Artan and Dulaku family for us to inaugurate the hotel today. This is definitely an investment that speaks for itself.

My long speech was appropriate, when we launched the construction work and nothing was to be seen here, except Artan, Adi and a lady representing Meliá group only. Now you can figure out that speaking at length back then was to keep enthusiasm up, but nobody believed, except Blendi, me, Artan and Adi that what was shown on 3D images was to become a reality. And for the sake of truth, the new hotel building is indeed more delightful and beautiful than what the 3D model proposed and it is for this reason that I would like to congratulate everyone and I am convinced that each and every one of you will breathe a sigh of relief once I conclude my remarks, as it is indeed a parade of long speeches here. Not only that, but listening to Ani speaking, I recalled that in none of the campaign meetings in Durres have we delivered such long speeches.

Thank you very much for inviting me. And as far as construction of this road to here is concerned, now with the COVID-19 pandemic over, I can promise that the government can support you and other tourism operators to construct the new road.
