Prime Minister Edi Rama received the outgoing Minister of Education Besa Shahini at his office today to express gratitude and sincere thanks for her contribution while serving as the country’s Education Minister for a two-year period. “I would like to thank you Besa for the entire valuable contribution you have provided. I am confident time will come to really leverage and appreciate your  performance accomplishments, despite major challenges we are facing currently,  because the truth is that the Ministry of Education has experienced a radical transformation over the past seven years,” the Premier said, expressing also his best and most heartfelt wishes for her new family life.

Mrs. Shahini said she was grateful for being able to serve and contribute to Albania’s education system.

The government head also introduced the new Education Minister Evis Kushi, voicing confidence that she will take further forward the relay of reforms to transform Albanian education. “Evis has been working with us in this joint fight for seven years now after serving as Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Elbasan. I am confident we will go on moving forward on the right path, since this is the natural continuation of what you have already started,” the Premier said.

“Thank you very much. It is a privilege, but more than a privilege, I see it as a very high responsibility,” Mrs. Kushi said.
