The four men killed in the peaceful protest on January 21 today were honoured with the high title of “Martyrs of the Fatherland”. After attending a special ceremony to mark the occasion, the Prime Minister Edi Rama, along with the family members and relatives of the martyrs Ziver Veizi, Faik Myrtaj, Hekuran Deda and Aleks Nika, bowed down in sign of respect and laid bouquet of flowers at the spot where they were shot dead along “the Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard.

“It is time not only to wish may their memory be eternal, but also voice confidence that their memory will become eternal,” PM Rama said while awarding the Martyr of the Fatherland symbol to the family members of the victims.
