More families affected by the November 26 earthquake in municipality of Kamez are moving into newly-built homes that are constantly being constructed on the sites of the old dwellings that collapsed and fell into ruin due to the devastating tremor.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by Kamez Mayor Rakip Suli, today handed over the keys to new homes to several beneficiary families in this municipality. The beneficiary families expressed gratitude for the work and the support to cope with the natural disaster that affected them. As many as 75 single family homes will be granted to the beneficiary quake-affected families in Paskuqan area this month alone.
The post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction programme is full steam ahead in this municipality and every other quake-hit area across the country, with more affected families gradually moving into new homes built back more resilient, larger and more beautiful than the ones the lost in the tragic night when the catastrophic earthquake hit the country.
