Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who arrived on a one-day visit to Albania on Monday.
The official welcome ceremony took place at the Mother Teresa International Airport. The Turkish President was also presented a guard of honor. Erdogan will commence his Albania trip with a visit to the northwestern town of Laç, where Turkish government-funded major project on construction of a residential complex with 524 housing units has been finalized.
Prime Minister Rama and President Erdogan will then hold the bilateral meeting at the Prime Minister’s office and the two will appear at a joint press conference after their talks.
The two personalities will attend inauguration ceremony of the Ethem Bey Mosque, an important cultural heritage site in Tirana.
At the end of his visit, the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will deliver a speech at a special parliamentary session of the Assembly of Albania.
