Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 16+1 Summit of Heads of Government of Central and Eastern European Countries and China in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

During the meeting, PM Rama asked his Chinese counterpart for fast-track procedures that would allow access of Albanian specialty agricultural products to the Chinese market. On the other hand, in the light of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral ties, PM Rama proposed mutual exemption of visas between the two countries, in a bid to increase the number of Chinese tourists to Albania, as well as to boost trade exchanges between the two countries.

On his part, the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang confirmed that China welcomes Albania to expand its export of specialty agricultural products, such as honey, olive oil and wine, to China. The Chinese Premier also pledged to take necessary steps towards reaching an agreement on mutual exemption of visas between the two countries, as well as mutual recognition of the university diplomas.
