Prime Minister Edi Rama will visit Germany to participate in the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC), which will be held in Munich from February 14 to 16. The conference will bring together world leaders to discuss global security policy challenges, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen.

The program will begin on Friday, with a focus on global security challenges, including global governance, democratic resilience, climate security, and many other topics.

On the second day, the debate will focus on the state of the international order, regional crises and conflicts. The future of the transatlantic partnership will also be an important topic of discussion on the second day of the conference.

The third and final day will conclude with discussions on the role of Europe in the world.

Prime Minister Rama will be a panelist in a discussion titled “Beyond Conflict: Assessing the Pathways and Obstacles to Sustainable Peace in the Middle East,” which will be moderated by Mayssoun Zein Al Din, Director of the Academy of International Affairs. Joining Prime Minister Rama on the panel will be Austrian Federal Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg; Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud; and the Vice President of the Brookings Institution, Suzanne Maloney.

Prime Minister Rama will also be a panelist in a discussion on “EU Enlargement,” alongside North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski; European Parliament President Roberta Metsola; and Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi.

During the visit, Prime Minister Rama will hold meetings with heads of state and government, representatives of important international institutions, civil society organizations, and key companies operating in the fields of cybersecurity, digitalization, and more.
