Swiss media promotes Albanian nature beauties / “20 Minutes”: Saranda, among top 5 destinations not to be missed in September
Albania and its stunning natural beauties are increasingly attracting the attention of the international media and travel bloggers that are promoting the country and its main tourism attractions and offbeat and most popular destinations for everyone to visit. The French section of the Swiss daily 20 Minutes, one of the leading media in Switzerland, has recently listed Albania among the five European countries worth visiting in September.
Swiss media promotes beauties of Albanian coastline, pointing out Saranda and Ksamil and proposing its readers to visit the country and enjoy the sea during September.
“Saranda is a port city in southern Albania, close to the Greek border. Taking the road that leads to Ksamil, a charming village on a peninsula, you can see Corfu in the distance. The place is part of the Butrint National Park. Even further south, visit (access by boat) two small islands of Tongo and Stillo,” 20min wrote.
“Sun, tasty cuisine, scenic beauty and affordable prices, these spots are made to enjoy the end of summer as the huge tourist wave has passed and prices are falling,” the 20min said, adding:
“Back-to-school time hasn’t come yet! September is, in many ways, one of the best times of the year to enjoy the Mediterranean basin. After the heat wave, the temperatures remain mild enough for swimming, the cuisine is tasty, the big tourist wave has passed and prices are falling. Here are five European destinations to visit.”
Albania ranks first on list of five top destinations to be visited in September, surpassing Hyères (France), Istanbul (Turkey), Algarve (Portugal) and Calabria (Italy).
