Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Edi Rama inspected the construction works on Milot-Lezhe road segment today at noon. The Albanian Road Authority investment worth ALL 380 million includes renewed pavement and asphalting of this important road segment.

PM met and discussed with workers and work supervisors and asked for their maximum commitment to deliver the road as quickly and with quality as possible. The Premier put an emphasis on the importance of setting respective road signals, whose lack would turn any road into a source of accidents for the citizens and vehicles.

“First of all, we should coomplete this road with signs. A project without road signs is the same as to say: Let’s pave asphalt for accidents‘. We should complete the road signs immediately. Meanwhile, let us develop a project together with mayor to create green areas. Then, we can focus on ancillary interventions and start to make reductions where appropriate and there is a lot of room for reduction and discipline. Do not wear the work uniform only during visits of the Minister and Prime Minister. Wear them night and day, during all working hours. We want the job done,” the Prime Minister said.

Accompanying the Prime Minister Rama in this inspection was Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Edmond Haxhinasto.

In order to improve damaged road layers, the project on this road axis envisages interventions in asphalt layers starting from end of the reconstructed Thumane – Milot Crossroad segment up to Lezha roundabout.
