After last year’s success in the Biennale of Venice, the exhibition with the works of two Albanian artists, Edi Hila and Adrian Paci, titled “Potential Monuments of Unrealized Futures”, was re-opened in the premises of the well-known school of architecture, Architectural Association (AA ), in London.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, who attended the opening of the exhibition, considered it another chance to “tell again, with words and deeds, the Albania that has begun to be known and seen through other eyes.”

During the exhibition, students, professors and art lovers discussed about art.

For the organizers of the Architectural Association, the exhibition does not represent only a present cooperation, but a bridge to the future, to speak to as many people as possible through art.

AA president Sadie Morgan said that “Architectural Association is very happy for organizing this exhibition. It is very exciting to have this connection with Albania and all these artists that have come from your country. This exhibition traveled here from the Biennial of Venice and represents collaboration, not only for now, but also for the future, between the UK and Albania, as well as the ability of these institutions to transmit this energy and dynamism to a broader community and to more people. I speak for those programs that have influenced a lot the progress of work of architects in Tirana and those who have interest in the UK”, Mrs. Morgan said.

While the Albanian curator Jonida Turan said that the works by two Albanian artists, “Penthouse”, a series of drawings by Edi Hila and “The Column”, a video / installation by Adrian Paci, were received well by the Londoner public and according to her, the very presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama increased the interest in the exhibition.

“The exhibition was well received. There was a massive presence of students and professors. The foreign press has had a special interest in this exhibition. The presence of the Prime Minister Edi Rama has contributed to this and his role as a constant supporter of the work of artists, but also of architects, brought a great interest in today’s lecture at the AA”- curator Turan said.

Italian curator, Stefano Rabolli Pansera said that it was very important to reconsider the dialectics between different media and different generations of artists from Albania.

“Architectural Association” is one of the most important schools of architecture in Europe, which has formed the most famous architects currently known.
