Valias is another huge construction site launched as part of the post-earthquake reconstruction programme in Kamez Municipality, where work is in full swing to construct new complex with 21 multi-family residential buildings, where 280 quake-affected families will be housed in comfortable living spaces. The project’s first phase, which includes construction of the underground infrastructure, has already completed and construction of new apartment buildings is slated to complete by December, along with parking lots, service units, a promenade, a nursery school, kindergarten and a new school.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by Kamez Mayor Rakip Suli, today inspected the ongoing construction work. Mayor Suli provided a detailed outline of the work carried out in a month. “Work on these buildings is scheduled to complete in December, when all affected families, previously living in these old buildings, will be housed in new apartments. The project includes a 30,000-square meter construction floor area. The affected households will keep benefiting the rental bonus until the day they move into their new apartments. Whole this volume of construction work has been carried out within a month. In addition to the new apartment buildings, construction of the kindergarten has completed, while work has already kicked off to construct a new nursery school and a nine-year school building. The residential complex is designed to meet contemporary standards. The project also includes communal premises, green spaces and playgrounds for children. The whole area will be fully urbanized once the project completes.
Underground parking spaces have been built in all buildings and a number of service units will be made available.
