Albanian Government Council of Ministers

In the course of his visit to the region of Berat, where he inspected a series of investment projects of major importance to the city, Prime Minister Edi Rama stopped over at Nurellari winery and guesthouse in the village of Peshtan, where a hardworking family, through the government support, has created a prestigious mark brand and a remarkable agritourism destination.

The incredible transformation is like day and night right on the site of the ruins of what was once a storage facility for food and the old houses have now been replaced by a new modern and traditional infrastructure of the village. “It was horrible for anyone wishing to visit this area and therefore we in the government asked local government authorities to develop a joint project. The Albanian Development Fund was also involved in this project and the village has been included in the 100 Villages Program to turn this hamlet into a tourist attraction. And indeed, it is increasingly becoming a popular tourist attraction,” the Premier said.

Thanks to the government’s ambitious investment drive, Peshtan and other villages across Albania are being transformed into tourist attractions for local and international visitors. “We will expand this part that the parking lot also really shows a growing number of visitors here,” PM Rama said, adding “this model is to show everyone that whoever looks a little further than for now and whoever has the courage and willingness to move forward, they become successful.”
