Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Euglent Xhabafti’s family will celebrate the New Year’s Eve in a newly-built home that was completely recently renovated and fully furnished. The work to reconstruct the new house from scratch kicked off following a visit by Prime Minister Edi Rama to the almost completely ruined house building of Xhabafti family in Bultice, Vaqarr, Tirana, in early October. “You will learn a lot, while we will do a lot to ensure you celebrate New Year in a new house,” the government head pledged to four children of Xhabafti family. PM Rama also promised to help the family head find a job and provide better living conditions for the family, currently benefiting under the government’s social welfare programme. Shortly after, Euglent was found a job placement through the assistance of the Employment Service and he is currently working as maintainer at a factory in the area. “My workplace is very near and no transport costs are involved. I feel very good, as I now receive a monthly salary and I can now provide the family needs and look after my family,” Euglent says. The works on construction of the new house are running on schedule in order to ensure that it completes ahead of the year’s end. Meanwhile, the members of Xhabafti family have temporarily moved to another house until construction of their new home completes.
