The government presented today the Package to support agriculture, which provides 26 measures for tax relief for the agricultural sector, agro-industry and fisheries.
The package was presented by Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti and Minister Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship Arben Ahmetaj, in the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and representatives of relevant ministries, specialists of the field and stakeholders.
During the presentation, Minister Panariti said that the fiscal package for agriculture aims at improving farmers’ economy by promoting domestic production, increasing exports, etc. The Minister informed that a good part of these measures are already in place, while other measures will enter into force next year, enabling full operation of the entire fiscal package.
Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship Arben Ahmetaj said that the support package for agriculture is based on the successful experience of the toll manufacturing package which, Minister Ahmetaj noted, worked at best.
