Mass vaccination campaign against Covid-19 disease continues throughout the country according to a national immunisation programme based on age and essential service categories. Older adults who have been vaccinated earlier are now receiving the second dose of the coronavirus vaccines at mass vaccination sites across the country.

Prime Minister Edi Rama today visited old people, who are receiving the shot at main Skanderbeg square in Tirana. The government head was interested in progress of the vaccination campaign.

“Today people are receiving second dose. More than 10,000 people are scheduled to receive the vaccine today. More than 416,000 people have been vaccinated to date and their number is set to increase to over 425,000 today. We currently have a stock of 300,000 doses available,” the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu said.
