Press statement from government spokesperson Endri  Fuga in response to alleged data leak of the monthly salaries:

 

The Ministry of Finance and Economy has been following with concern the alleged leak of the monthly salaries of Albanian citizens. The preliminary probe clearly show that no digital export of the payroll database has taken place from January to April 2021 on the leaked document. The document contains a different number from number of the declared persons and is a combination of several different pieces.

In addition, the official digital database of the available data doesn’t contain the “full name” field, as the leaked illegal document shows. The National Agency for Information Society has ended the terms of reference for the open international audit procedure for the purpose of certification with ISO standards of the fiscal information system, due to be officially announced in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Finance and Economy is preparing an official denunciation due to be filed with the prosecution, seeking the clarification of this criminal intrusion into the salary database of the citizens of the Republic of Albania.
