Speech of Prime Minister Edi Rama at the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Ministry of Integration:
It is a pleasure to be here today, on this important day, also because on this important day, as we had decided, we are opening the doors of the new building of the Ministry of Integration. An old building actually, which is part of the cultural heritage of the Capital City, part of one of the most beautiful complexes built in the ’30s in this region where we live. That building, like many other things, was transformed in a warehouse surrounded by garbage.
I am very happy we succeeded in this. Not only because on this November 29th we commemorate, honor and bow in gratitude looking at the past, but I believe that the greatest thanksgiving to the past of historical war for Albania and the Albanians, is to open the doors on behalf of the future of this institution that is center of gravity of our work in order to build the European future of our country.
I believe that in much better conditions, but also in a much more dignified position for this institution and all of you, women and men, girls and boys of this institution, you will feel not only better but also more motivated, while realizing that due to the position and the importance given to this ministry for its firsthand role the process that becomes more and more difficult, and not easier.
Happy National Liberation, in this 70th anniversary! Congratulations, success and a lot of positive energy and satisfactions from work in the new building.
Thanks all!
