The population’s mass vaccination against the COVID-19 continues in all municipalities throughout the country. Vau i Dejes is one of the municipalities where the inoculation drive is in full swing. Prime Minister Edi Rama today toured one of the health care centres in the northern municipality of Vau i Dejes were the elderly over 70 are receiving the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine,
Prime Minister Rama was interested in the progress of the vaccination process, as well as the condition of the newly-vaccinated older adults in Vau i Dejes. It is equally important – the Premier noted – that rules envisaged on the guidelines are fully and strictly respected.

The mass inoculation drive has been welcomed by the elderly, who keep heading to the especially set up centres for the vaccination process in the north-western city of Shkodra. “More than 10,000 people have received the vaccine to date in Shkodra. In addition to medical personnel and teachers, a growing number of older adults are getting vaccinated too,” the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu said as she accompanied PM Rama during visit to the vaccination site.
Health Minister provided updated information on the mass vaccination campaign: More than 68,000 older adults have received the vaccine since the start of the mass inoculation programme few days ago. The number of vaccinated people jumped to over 100,000 a day ago and the process is progressing very fast. The elderly are welcoming the process and none of them are hesitating. The process goes on orderly.”
