The urban transformation of Vlorë is progressing rapidly, driven by a series of projects being developed across neighborhoods, streets, and public squares throughout the city.

The area surrounding the Palm and Citrus Boulevards, located at the entrance to Vlorë, is undergoing revitalization through significant investments aimed at urban regeneration. Previously a neglected area, it is now being transformed into a fully rehabilitated zone, featuring vehicle lanes, pedestrian walkways, parking spaces, bike lanes, new facades, and sports fields—while enhancing local commerce and boosting the value of businesses in the area.

Prime Minister Rama visited the construction site for an inspection, accompanied by Vlorë’s Mayor, Ermal Dredha.

“This will serve as both a thoroughfare for vehicles and a pedestrian walkway, especially since it has been expanded. The vision behind this project is to create a practical boulevard for Vlorë, providing greater accessibility for pedestrians. This area, previously in complete disrepair, serves as one of the main entrances to the city,” explained Dritan Agolli, Director of the Development Fund

Prime Minister Rama praised the progress made and suggested improvements to certain aspects of urban furniture to ensure the road functions effectively. He emphasized that once completed, the project will significantly increase the value of the businesses in the area.

The entire project is divided into “3 Boulevards”: Palm Boulevard, Jacaranda Boulevard, and Citrus Boulevard, each with its own unique character. The greenery, landscaping, and urban design details will distinguish each boulevard. Additionally, the project includes recreational areas designed as garden spaces, featuring a variety of plant species that enhance the aesthetic and environmental quality of the area.
