At a regular meeting, attended by the Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Joint Committee on Higher Education Policies, discussed the progress of the internationalization process to date, mainly focusing on implementation of 175 fresh agreements on new curricula and programmes with leading international universities, as well as ways to make use of new opportunities to sign accords with international universities.

Prime Minister Edi Rama’s remarks: “The effort to internationalize Albanian universities is quite a positive one and the process is progressing faster than before and as many as 175 agreements on joint curricula and programmes have been already signed with international universities, whereas 41 more accords are in the process, in addition to the joint and double programs approved, as well as 17 English language programs, which are all really encouraging. However, our objective is much more ambitious than that.
One of the issues I think we should actually insist, although it will certainly be a joint decision with the Dutch side, but I am very much confident in that and they are really willing to explore this opportunity, namely the access to the new European Network for Inclusive Higher Education that has been established in recent years and you already know much better than I do that it has had a very strong and very strong impact and is giving very significant results because it provides universities the opportunity, by offering them additional financial support to build new synergies with one other and join academic conglomerates, which are of extraordinary benefit for lecturers and university students and for the efforts to align and harmonize all programmes between universities.
Here, at this point, I would like you to contribute with an analysis and with some options, suggestions on how this approach can be done”.
