Apartment buildings, private individual homes, new school buildings, health care centres, public service offices, green areas and a modern local market will be the new look of the residential neighbourhood already being built over the ruins left by the tragic earthquake of the last Nov 26 in the town of Fushe-Kruje. Designed according to a whole new concept over the residential neighbourhoods, the new block will offer a completely different standard compared to the one hit and devastated by the deadly tremors last November.

Prime Minister Edi Rama closely inspected the launch of work to construct the first individual houses for the quake-affected families in the new site selected to host the new residential neighbourhood where entire civil engineering and urban infrastructure has already completed. Kruja Mayor Artur Bushi said that a total of 128 houses, namely one, two and three bedroom dwellings, will be built in the site, while the project implementation project said that final designs of the apartment buildings are set to complete in the next two weeks. “What matters most when it comes to the new development areas is that the entire civil infrastructure has been already built, including water supply, sewerage and waste water systems, the electricity and internet networks that are all in place,” the project implementation engineer said.

“We need to work constantly despite the weather conditions, because the projects were significantly delayed due to the pandemic and the total lockdown earlier this year. We know that work is getting hard due to the weather conditions, but this is the sacrifice we need and we will make, because we can’t afford will not delay the process for no reason of whatsoever from now on,” the Premier said.

A total of 15 apartment buildings with 100 apartments, 128 individuals houses, schools, public service offices, green areas and a modern local market will be built in a 10-ha area and thy will significantly change the quality of live for the local residents, who will move into new larger, stronger and more beautiful houses and more public spaces will be available to them.
