PRIME MINISTER EDI RAMA ATTENDED THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE BASIC SCHOOL OF STATE POLICE FOR THE FIRST 500 STUDENTS SELECTED AMONG A GROUP OF 1000, WHO WILL CONTINUE POLICE TRAINING.
In his address to students, Minister of Interior Tahiri said that only self-confidence, preparation, dedication, professionalism and results will guarantee a successful career in the State Police.
“The new law provides not only a new system of ranks based on merit, professionalism and results, but also a definitive separation of the police from politics. Above all, you have to understand that you took this path to serve citizens. Not to act as if you were above the law, but neither below. You have to act as firm spokespersons of the law, without any preferences. You have to understand that it is important to change the mentality of police officers, “- Minister of Interior said.
The ceremony was also attended by senior officials of the State Police and of the Security Parliamentary Committee.
