“Kreuztanne” (Crossroads) is the newest book by artist Fate Velaj that was presented today in the Gallery of Arts in Tirana.

Narrating the author’s personal experience, this book tells the reader the history of Albania after the 90s, the aspiration of an entire generation of dreamers who succeeded in projecting and building their dreams amid the challenges in Europe.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, one of the attendees of this presentation, praised the originality of the book as a small portion of life, which the artist Fate Velaj conveys masterfully. In addition to considering the book as a beautiful experience for the reader, Prime Minister Rama congratulated the author and wished him to add to his creativity many other such interesting works. “This experience is definitely worth it, and I have to say that regardless of what he does with his paintings, regardless of what he does with his writings, regardless of what it does with photography, the most spectacular work by Fate is himself. And when someone happens to be a character such as Fate is, everything else coming out from his hands is simply a projection of a shadow of himself. I wish him to complete this shadow of himself as beautifully and faithfully to his inner world as possible, in order to leave it behind also for the others. Even for those who don’t have the chance to meet him in person. I wish Fate to write other books. His life is a novel with many chapters. This one is just one of the chapters. Congratulations!” – the Prime Minister said for the audience.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of cultural life in the country, artists, writers, painters, media representatives, etc.
