Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday visited Kosovo’s former President Hashim Thaçi, who is being held in detention in The Hague since December 2020.

Commenting on this meeting, PM Rama said: It was a rather nostalgic meeting. I found President Thaçi  in top form, convinced perhaps stronger than he was when I met him before he came here that this was the inevitable way to utterly and absolutely prove before justice the complete righteousness of the liberation war and of course the righteousness of the ideal of the Kosovo Liberation Army fighters and the KLA leaders. There is not much to say. Of course we are all convinced that the liberation war of Kosovo cannot be rewritten and cannot be included in other frameworks as it is already included in the golden frame of heroism, sacrifice, shed blood and certainly all the continued efforts in a free and sovereign Kosovo.
