Prime Minister Edi Rama paid an official visit to the Principality of Monaco at the invitation of Prince Albert II. PM Rama was received in a special official ceremony extended at the Royal Palace in Monaco by Prince Albert II and the head of the government of Monaco Serge Telle.
During the meeting, PM Edi Rama and Prince Albert II highlighted the so far cooperation between the two countries in a range of areas such as environment, tourism, marine, etc, affirming their commitment to deepening cooperation in the future.
Later on, the Prince honored PM of Albania with the Medal of Commander of the Order of Saint Charles of the Principality of Monaco. The Order of Saint Charles is the highest dynastic order of knighthood in Monaco. It was instituted during the reign of Prince Charles III on March 15, 1858.
PM of Albania was awarded with this order during his official visit to the Principality of Monaco on April 10, 2019, in recognition of his distinguished contribution to strengthening the relations between the two states and his commitment to protection and promotion of the coastline as a development factor of the Mediterranean.
Through this medal, Prince Albert II appreciates PM Rama as a personality of culture as well.
