Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the leader of Germany’s Social Democratic Party (SPD) Andrea Nahles to discuss Albania’s integration process into the European Union.

The government head acquaint  Mrs. Nahles with major reforms launched by the Albanian government and the country’s expectations for a positive decision by the EU member states on opening the formal membership negotiations.

Mrs. Nahles assured Mr. Rama of her Social Democratic Party’s unconditional support for Albania’s bid to open accession talks with the European Union.

Germany’s SPD leader, also chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Bundestag, praised PM Rama for the major reforms and voiced confidence for a positive decision in June.
