PRIME MINISTER RAMA HELD A SPECIAL MEETING WITH PRIME MINISTER OF KAZAKHSTAN, MR. KARIM MASSIMOV. DURING THE MEETING, THE TWO DIGNITARIES FOCUSED MAINLY ON THE FUTURE OF ECONOMIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES.
The meeting between the two Prime Ministers was followed by a meeting between the two delegations.
Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Peleshi Niko and Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli, Prime Minister Rama stressed the readiness of the Albanian government to cooperate in the field of tourism, energy and transport infrastructure.
One of the major projects discussed by Deputy Prime Ministers of Albania and Kosovo was the possibility of developing and investing in a modern rail system, which enables the connection between the Albanian ports and European and Asian rail network.
Prime Minister Massimov stressed the need to sign as soon as possible two major agreements in the field of trade promotion and avoidance of double taxation between the two countries.
Kazakh investors are today among the most powerful investors in Europe, with an investment volume of 26 billion dollars.
At the end of the meeting a bilateral agreement of understanding to deepen cooperation between the two countries was signed.
