In the framework of his official visit to Germany, Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday met with the Federal President of Germany Frank Walter Steinmeier at his office in Berlin. Prime Minister Rama and German President Steinmeier held a tête-à-tête followed by a bilateral meeting alongside their respective delegations. 

PM Rama and Federal President Steinmeier lauded the very good relations between the two countries and the shared commitment to further deepen bilateral ties. The two interlocutors agreed on the continuation of cooperation between Germany and Albania in areas of mutual interest.

Talks focused on Albania’s European integration process, particularly highlighting the role Germany has been playing and is playing in this regard. The current situation in Ukraine and the most recent events in the wake of Russia’s aggression were also main focus of the talks.
