1000 square meters for a rent of 1 euro is the support that the enterprise “Mito” shpk has received in the context of the government’s incentive policies for increasing employment and promoting entrepreneurship.

“We will move to the new premises within 6 months, in January of next year. We will increase the workforce, but we have also some very positive initiatives, such as the creation of our products, and our wish is to open a vocational school. This is a very ambitious program. I have currently 400 workers. The target is to have 800 workers in the new premises within 2 years”, the entrepreneur told Prime Minister Edi Rama during his visit to the factory in Kuçovë.

Following the interest shown by the Prime Minister on the level of salaries in this enterprise, his owner said that salaries are not minimal as they are wrongfully thought in relation to the toll manufacturing. “Someone who is new to this job receives a minimal salary of 20 thousand ALL, plus 50 thousand ALL for social insurances, so a total of 25.000 ALL. This is for new entries, but there are people in the factory whose salary, according to the work process, has amounted to 2 million ALL”, the entrepreneur explained.

Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed support for all business that are creating a closed cycle of products in the country. In addition, he said that attaching these enterprises to vocational schools is part of the government program.

“We will support anyone who, just like you, are ready to make this jump, and attaching these enterprises to vocational schools is part of our program.

Together with the new municipality, we will identify the location and together with the Ministry of Welfare we will build the vocational school. So, 50% of time will be spent in school and 50% in the enterprise. This way, the knowledge acquired in school will not remain at a theoretical level, and on the other hand experience gained in the enterprise will be worth it. As soon as these students finish school, they are ready to become part of the enterprise at different levels as skilled workforce. We will strongly support you for this”, the Prime Minister noted.

Government’s target remains industry growth and the passage from semi-finished products to a closed cycle in the country.

The enterprise leader briefed the Prime Minister on the ambitious plan for expanding the business and moving within six months to the new premises rented for a symbolic amount, in addition to doubling the workforce and opening a vocational school.
