Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Today at 10:00 am, Prime Minister Edi Rama and wife Linda voted at the polling station at the school “Ymer Lala” in Surrel, Tirana.

After voting, the Prime Minister addressed a message to every citizen having the right to vote to use this right and be part of the election process.

“I urge everyone to come and vote. By voting today, you take part in a historic process of marking a historic reform for Albania, which is the administrative-territorial reform, reform of the reorganization on the basis of state. Regardless of who we vote, all those who vote are good citizens and citizens deserve respect. Who does not vote has no right to complain.”

When asking by a reporter how he felt about voting for the first time in this polling station, the Prime Minister jokingly replied: “A lucky hick, since there is no distinction any more between hicks and townsmen, but we are all equal citizens from the Tirana city center to the most remote village.”
