Qeparo, one of the summer attractions of the Ionian Coast, is presented in this tourist season with a completely transformed looks. The new promenade along the coastline has given Qeparo the typical features of a seaside resort village, where characteristics and traditions of the area have been preserved.
The Regional Development Fund has financed works for the underground infrastructure, the construction of the pedestrian area, sidewalks and lighting system of public spaces. The promenade has been built with stone slabs, while the side walls have been paved with traditional stone of the area. Works for greenery are still going on.
Prime Minister Edi Rama was today in Qeparo, and said that this investment is a new model of the urban development of the area. “Urban renaissance on the Ionian coast, where the beach of Qeparo is one example of the transformation in the right direction.”
Thanks to this investment, the Qeparo beach has become more welcoming and attractive for visitors and tourists. In addition, the investment is giving a boost to the development of local business.
