Thanks to the Program of Urban Renaissance, which has been already extended to the roads of the villages of Kolonje, such as Selenicë, Starje and Taç-Lartë, the 7 thousand residents of the rural areas of Kolonje will have a European standard-road infrastructure. Accompanied by Mr Niko Peleshi, Prime Minister Edi Rama inspected the Urban Renaissance projects in this area, which aim at improving the life quality of the residents, helping farmers who were in need of infrastructure, as well as increasing the number of tourists.
“There are approximately 7 thousand residents who will benefit from these roads, because these are the roads of the villages nearby Kolonje”, Niko Peleshi said. While the Prime Minister noted that this is “the extent of the Urban Renaissance to the villages”. Another project for revitalizing the city centre of Leskovik is expected to start soon. “We promised we will do the centre of Leskovik, and we have started it”, Mr Peleshi added. Another important investment of the Urban Renaissance Program, inspected by Prime Minister Edi Rama, is the reconstruction of the street “20 Maji”, located at the entrance of the city of Erseke. The project aims at revitalizing the city entrance of Erseke as a tourist destination, as well as restoring the social functional space for the residents of the Municipality of Kolonjë.
