The leaders of the six countries of the Western Balkans; Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia, signed three regional agreements at the Berlin Process 2022 Western Balkans Summit on Friday.
The three regional accords on mobility signed by the leaders of the six Western Balkan countries are as follows:
– The agreement on the mutual recognition of identity cards,
– The agreement on mutual recognition of the university degrees in the Western Balkans
-The agreement on mutual recognition of professional qualifications of the doctors, dentists, architects in the context of the Central Europe free trade agreement, which are designed to strengthen and deepen regional cooperation.
– The Berlin Process was established in 2014 as platform for all Western Balkans states (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) to accelerate closer alignment with the EU and deepen regional integration and cooperation, as a key to economic growth and peace in the Western Balkans.
